What Ages Are Appropriate for This Program?

Players from all high school grade levels—freshmen through seniors—are eligible to participate in the varsity program, based on tryouts and evaluations conducted by the coaching staff.

The HCHS Girls Lacrosse Booster Club does not take part in player evaluations or team placement decisions.

What Time of the Year Does This Program Run?

The varsity girls lacrosse season begins with tryouts in early March and continues through the regular season, concluding with playoffs in June.

Where Are Practices and Games Typically Held?

Practices and home games are held at Hinsdale Central High School, Hinsdale, IL. Throughout the season, the team competes across the Chicagoland area, including the suburbs, city, and occasionally out-of-state locations, to provide players with diverse competition and valuable learning experiences.

When Are Practices and How Often Are They?

Teams typically practice six times per week. The detailed schedule will be announced and posted online once finalized. It is the responsibility of each family to regularly check ParentSquare and the HCHS Athletics Department schedule for any updates or changes to practices or games.

Are Uniforms Provided, or Do Players Need to Purchase Items Separately?

Each varsity athlete is issued a complete set of team uniforms, which includes two jerseys, two skirts, warm-up pants, a warm-up jacket, and a parka. These items are provided for the season and must be returned in good condition at its conclusion.

Additionally, players are required to purchase a Player Pack through the Spirit Wear Store.

What’s included in the Player Pack, and do players have to buy it?

Player Packs can be purchased through the Spirit Wear Store, which includes two long-sleeve undershirts, performance leggings, and an HCHS Girls Lacrosse backpack. Returning players need only replace items that are worn or no longer fit from the previous season.

Each player is also required to have their own lacrosse stick, goggles, and cleats or turf shoes for practices and games.

What are the HCHS GLAX Booster Club Registration Fees ?

In addition to the Hinsdale Central High School activity fee, each player is required to register with the HCHS Girls Lacrosse Booster Club. Booster Club fees help cover travel expenses, replacement uniforms, a portion of coaching salaries, off-season training (including morning lifts and senior-led scrimmages), team events, and support our Angel Fund, which assists families in need of financial aid.

Once rostered on the varsity team, players will receive a registration link to submit their Booster Club dues. If you require financial assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the President or Treasurer of the HCHS GLAX Booster Club directly.

What additional expenses should players and families expect beyond dues?

Beyond dues, players and their families may incur additional costs for spirit wear, fundraising activities, team dinners, community service events, photo purchases, and the end-of-season banquet.
